THE FULL MONTY!

Nothing good comes out of a conversation that begins with, "I have good news and bad news. Which do you want first?"

Whatever the news, the phrase is a preface to an admission of guilt, a preamble to trouble, or a prelude to something which I know I'm not going to like. The phrase attempts to give the bearer of the bad news the illusion that what he's about to dump on my lap can be ameliorated or offset by what he or she thinks to be the good news. It also allows them to think that a bad situation can be negotiated and turned into something better, or at the very least tolerable, once the unpleasant news has been dealt with. In reality, what it means is that someone's done something I'm not going to like, and they're hoping I'm not going to go Tazmanian devil or fly off the handle once I find out what they've done.

I'm one never to mince or try to get around delivering a bit of bad news. I come from a family where bad news is given in such a matter-of-fact way you'd think it was part of a laundry or shopping list.

If I have something I'd rather not say, I'll keep it to myself and take it to the grave with me. If it's something that I need to get off my chest, I try not to soften the blow with a lead-in or conditional phrase that will allow the other person to get all defensive about it.

So, for the last few days I've felt completely restless! But that's just me! I must find things to do! Well, I just started another Yahoo group and constructed a website related to the group. It's entitled BOYZVILLAGE UNCUT. I guess the title speaks for itself - yes the theme is uncut cocks!! I've always prefered the full monty to the cut variety.
